Farmbit Mobile Is Now on Google Play
The Android app is now on Google Play, giving field crews the same mobile handoff for assigned fields, scouting evidence, and alert follow-up.
Farmbit Mobile is now available on Google Play for Android.
This makes the field-side client available to teams carrying Android phones into the block. Open assigned fields, review context before the walk, capture photos and notes, and see what still needs to sync back to Farmbit.

What changes for crews
The web workspace is still the right place for setup, larger maps, reports, and account administration. Mobile is the handoff layer after the work leaves the desk.
That means an Android user can carry the field context with them, capture evidence while they are in the block, and keep upload status visible instead of guessing whether the record made it back.
What the Android app is for
Use Farmbit Mobile when the crew is already outside:
- Review assigned fields before walking.
- Open field profiles and recent context.
- Capture inspection photos and notes.
- Track queued uploads and sync progress.
- Follow up from Field Change Alerts or field reports.
It is meant to keep the field note connected to the Farmbit workspace.
What it is not
Farmbit Mobile is not a standalone diagnosis app.
It does not replace the grower, advisor, or field lead. The app keeps the work organized: where to go, what to check, what evidence was captured, and whether that evidence has synced.
How to use it with satellite checks
Run the free satellite check or manage Field Change Alerts from Farmbit. When a field needs a walk, use the mobile app to carry the field context into the row and capture what you find.
The useful loop is simple:
- Start from the Farmbit field, report, or alert.
- Walk the priority zone first.
- Capture the photos and notes that explain the field condition.
- Let the app sync the evidence back.
- Reopen the field record when the team is ready to decide.
Android support closes the device gap for crews that do not standardize on iPhone.
