Use the drone when structure matters

A drone can add tighter spatial detail when the team needs to see the shape of a problem, its boundary, or its relationship to rows and access. That detail is valuable only after the question has narrowed enough to act on it.

Section 2

Earn the closer pass

Start with the least expensive useful check: a broad screen and a ground walk. If both keep pointing to the same block and the decision could change with better structure, the closer pass has a clear job.

Section 3

Name the decision before capture

Write what the team expects to decide with the drone evidence, such as whether a pattern follows rows, drainage, or a service boundary. Without a decision, higher-resolution imagery becomes another layer to interpret rather than a way to close uncertainty.

Section 4

Keep safety and ground truth in the loop

Flight planning, weather, permissions, and capture timing remain operational constraints. The resulting image still needs field confirmation; drone detail can show where a pattern is, but it does not make the cause certain.
