Section 1
Define what must change
Before collecting more evidence, name the decision it is supposed to change: route order, crew time, closer capture, advisor review, or no action. If no result would change the plan, more detail is not the priority.
Section 2
Start with broad triage
Satellite is often the right first pass when the team is still choosing among blocks. It can reduce the search area and provide a field question without committing the morning to a closer or more expensive check.
Section 3
Escalate on unresolved value
Move to a phone note, advisor review, or closer imagery when the block remains important and the next evidence can change the action. Record why the escalation was worth it so cost is tied to a decision rather than to curiosity.
Section 4
Stop when the next move is clear
The cheapest check is not always the cheapest data source. Use the smallest evidence step that gives the crew a next move they can defend. Once the team knows where to start and what to verify, the workflow should move into the field.
