Why orchard tech gets ignored
Growers keep tools that remove work fast, not tools that add admin.
Orchard teams do not reject technology because they dislike data. They reject tools that add process before they reduce work.
The adoption test
A useful tool should make the first week feel lighter: clearer morning decisions, fewer blind walks, and less debate about which block deserves attention. If setup effort arrives before operational relief, the tool is easy to postpone.
Keep the handoff concrete
The best first output is not another dashboard. It is a ranked zone, a short explanation, and a next field check that a grower or crew lead can use immediately.
Prove value with the first decision
Start with one block and one decision. Show what changed, what the team checked, and what work was avoided. Adoption follows when the product respects the field routine instead of asking the field to become an analytics team.
